The purpose of the Fund is to assist in the development of educational projects, scholarly research, creative endeavors, and professional activities, which promote diversity, multiculturalism, and non-discrimination.


The Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP) a model pipeline program to medical school, is now accepting applications for the summer 2010 program. SMDEP is a free annual academic enrichment program for freshman and sophomore students interested in medicine and dentistry.

Minority Internship Programs Seek Candidates for 2010
Several minority internship programs targeting African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, and Native Americans are now welcoming applications for 2010.


The Moore Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (MURAP)
invites applications for a ten-week paid summer research internship for undergraduate students (rising juniors or seniors).
The program will be held from May 23-July 29, 2010 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The application deadline is February 5, 2010
